Objectives

The ISFF selects films dedicated to shibari for a screening on 2 July 2026.
The festival promotes contemporary cinematographic creation, cultural diversity, and an ethical framework grounded in consent.

Who can apply ?

Open to filmmakers, producers, collectives, associations, students and independent creators, aged 18+.
International submissions welcome, in all languages (subtitles required in EN).
All genres accepted.

Strict respect for consent, safety, and the dignity of all persons filmed is mandatory.
Each applicant may submit up to 2 films, but only one may be selected for the Official Selection.

Categories

Live & Performances: filmed performances, live recordings, improvisations.

Cinema & Narration: fiction, documentary, pedagogical or artistic films.

Singular Perspectives: music videos, experimental works, private sessions, hybrid projects.

Duration: 1–15 minutes • Production after 2010 • Accepted formats: DCP / MP4 (H264).

Criteria include:
artistic vision, technical and narrative quality, relevance to the festival’s editorial line, respect for consent, diversity.

Key Dates

Opening for submissions: 15 December 2025

Closing of submissions: 15 May 2026

Notifications: 15–30 May 2026

Official announcement: 1 June 2026

Participants' commitments

  • Applicants must hold all rights to the work.
  • All persons involved must be of legal age.
  • Selected films cannot be withdrawn after announcement.
  • Final screening copies must be delivered before 1 June 2026.

Award

Category awards + Audience Grand Prize.
Cash prize: €500–1,000 (final amount confirmed in spring 2026).
