Discover the films selected for the first edition of the International Shibari Film Festival.

This year’s programme brings together 18 films from 14 countries, offering a rich and diverse exploration of rope through cinema. Through storytelling, performance and personal artistic expression, these works reveal the many ways shibari can be experienced, interpreted and shared across cultures.

The Official Selection is organised into three categories:

Live & Performance
Films rooted in presence, movement and the encounter between performers, rope and audience.

Singular Perspectives
Personal, poetic and unexpected explorations that offer unique ways of looking at rope and connection.
