Special Screening – Ottawa

After a sold-out first edition in Brussels, the International Shibari Film Festival (ISFF) travels to Canada for a special screening in Ottawa on November 7, 2026.

For one evening, discover a selection of films from the first edition of the festival, bringing together some of the works that particularly resonated with our audience on the first projection night.

Through fiction, performance, documentary and experimental approaches, these films explore shibari and kinbaku as subjects of cinema in their own right — as artistic practices, forms of expression, encounters between bodies, and spaces for movement, intimacy and storytelling.

This Special Screening is not a new competition, but an opportunity to bring these works to a new audience beyond Brussels and to continue the dialogue initiated during the first ISFF.

The programme will include films from several countries and artistic perspectives, including the 15-minute festival version of 性~SAGA~ by Ryuji Fukuyama, winner of the ISFF 2026 Grand Prize.
